  8.      This section contains information related to system operation and mainte-
  9.      nance.  It describes commands used to create new file systems, `newfs',
  10.      verify the integrity of the file systems, `fsck',  control disk usage,
  11.      `edquota',  maintain system backups, `dump',  and recover files when
  12.      disks die an untimely death, `restore'.  The `format'  manual for the
  13.      specific architecture the system is running on should be consulted when
  14.      formatting disks and tapes.  Network related services like `inetd'  and
  15.      `ftpd'  are also described.  The section `crash'  should be consulted to
  16.      understand how to interpret system crash dumps.
